Building on your knowledge from both the DISCAsiaPlus practitioner and coach certification programs, the consultant certification transitions from the classroom to the marketplace, where theory meets practice. Here, knowledge is tested in the real-world environment, where wisdom and discernment determine our career success. It’s a realm where leadership styles can either empower or demoralize teams, where self-awareness distinguishes true emotional intelligence from self-deception. The focus shifts towards fostering the potential of others rather than manipulating them for personal gain, thereby cultivating genuine commitment.
The consultant course examines and reflects classroom discussions in applied settings so that both theory and practice can be more fully aligned, changed or improved according to our specific working environments. The course focuses on the individual, team and department levels for it to be effective. Applied topics at the individual level includes charting a personal action plan, managing emotions and emotional stability, job enrichment; at the team level includes team dynamics and integration; at the department level includes the application of the four-player dialogue model, process motivation theory and leadership integrated with DISCAsiaPlus.
Going beyond the applied emphasis, the consultant certification equips participants to facilitate DISCAsiaPlus workshops. The ability to generate discussion and engagement from participants using the DISCAsiaPlus is a unique skill meant only for those who are keen to facilitate self-discovery learning with their clientele. The pre-requisites of the course require participants to complete the DISCAsiaPlus practitioner and coach certification in order to become a DISCAsiaPlus consultant.
